UK weather Brits to be battered by MORE rain after landslide and flood chaos
BRITS are set to be battered by more rain after yesterday's landslide and flooding chaos.
The Met Office has activated new weather warnings stretching into the coming week in Scotland.
A yellow warning covers most of the region today, while a more severe amber alert lingers over central and eastern Scotland until 2pm.
The latter warns of a "danger to life" due to fast-moving floodwater, with homes and businesses at risk.
Some communities may even be cut off by power cuts and travel chaos caused by the flooding.
Photos even show a Grade II-listed courthouse in Cumbria collapsing into a river after being damaged in the flooding.

A number of train operators have cancelled their services north of the border, while some lines are under inspection.
Ten people had to be airlifted to safety from the A38 near Tarbet yesterday afternoon after a landslide enveloped the road.
There is also a further yellow warning for rain active along the western coast of Scotland on Tuesday, with more flooding possible.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has 11 flood alerts and 53 flood warnings in operation.

There is also a severe flood warning in the Aviemore/Dalfaber area in the Cairngorms National Park.
Ruth Ellis, flood duty manager for SEPA, said: "We're likely to see extensive river and surface water flooding impacts across those areas.
"Danger to life, widespread property flooding, flooding of roads and disruption to infrastructure is possible."
Scotland is bearing the brunt of a band of heavy downpours pushing eastwards from the Atlantic.
The rest of the country, though, has seen mild conditions in the past few days, and that trend is set to continue.
Highs of 23C are forecast for the South East this afternoon, with the same tomorrow and 21C on Tuesday.
Even the North is seeing clearer conditions, with 19C in Manchester and 16C in York.
The Met Office forecast for the day states: "Rain across northern Scotland slowly clearing eastwards during the afternoon.
"Elsewhere, after a murky start in places, a largely dry day with plenty of brighter spells and hazy sunshine."
Tomorrow is predicted to see "dry, fine and warm" weather away from Scotland.

However, the Tuesday to Thursday forecast adds: "Turning cooler and windier with rain spreading south from Tuesday and into Wednesday before turning drier with sunny spells.
"Rain spreading north later on Thursday."
